We have an exciting opportunity for an inspiring, dynamic and committed individual who is able to teach and assess on a sessional basis on our Level 2 & 3 Hairdressing Apprenticeships.
The successful candidate will deliver inspirational teaching and learning to ensure all students are supported to succeed in these subjects. You will play a key role in the preparation of lessons, assess the apprentices out in the workplace and on site in the college salon.
You will be required to provide effective feedback to the apprentices on both practical skills and knowledge and in a way that empowers them to strive to be the very best in their field of work and in line with awarding body (City & Guilds) standards.
You will engage in internal and external processes and monitor the performance of Apprentices through regular progress reviews to ensure that they are on track to enter Gateway ready for the End Point Assessment.
The successful candidate will support their caseload of learners throughout the practical period and provide effective intervention strategies to ensure the success of all apprentices in meeting or exceeding their target grade.
To be considered for this position, you should have experience of teaching and assessment to a high standard to ensure learners gain the skills and knowledge they need to achieve their qualifications successfully.
You should have experience of delivering Hairdressing qualifications at all levels as well as good communication skills and a track record of positive employer engagement.
